Meet Judge Mike Dickinson
"As your Youth Court Judge for the past eight years, I have focused the Court's efforts on improving the lives of the children and families of Harrison County through implementation of best practice standards and evidence-based programs in both child welfare and juvenile justice.
​ For juvenile justice, we prioritize rehabilitation for juvenile offenders while ensuring public safety and understanding the importance of being tough, yet fair.
​ For child welfare, our focus is on reducing child abuse and neglect, keeping families together when safe to do so, and providing high-quality family time for children in custody."

Following his graduation from Harrison Central High School, Judge Dickinson served his country for four years in the U.S. Navy. He was stationed in Japan on the aircraft carrier, USS Independence, where he earned numerous medals and commendations.
After returning from the Navy, Judge Dickinson received degrees from Mississippi State University, and the Mississippi College School of Law. While attending law school, he worked as an intern for both U.S. Magistrate John M. Roper and for the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office.
Following law school graduation, Judge Dickinson worked as a practicing attorney, and later as a partner with Daniel Coker Horton & Bell, P.A., until his election in 2018 as Harrison County’s Youth Court Judge, where he has served for the past eight years.
Judge Dickinson and his wife, Siobhan (shuh-von), have five children - three biological and two adopted from foster care. They have served as foster parents for ten children. Judge Dickinson helped spearhead Rescue 100, a faith-based, state-wide program dedicated to recruiting and training foster homes in Harrison County and across the State.
